Dr. Arash Hakhamian is proud to serve as one of the official dentists chosen to treat athletes for the Olympics. The Special Olympics brings together some of the best athletes from around the world with developmental or physical handicaps. Dr. Arash works with the special Olympics to provide much needed dental work for many of these athletes who travel from around the world, many of whom cannot afford proper medical and dental services in their countries.

“To be chosen to help these fine athletes who are already going against all odds to overcome their disabilities is a huge honor for me and I am very proud to enable them to perform at their best without worrying about dental pain and infections,” says Dr. Arash.
Dr. Arash combined his efforts with USC School of Dentistry by providing dental cleanings, fillings, extractions and even preventative care to the athletes. “Many of these athletes are needed mouth guards to protect their teeth while playing sports and we were able to provide them with this service free of charge with incredible results,” he explains.

If you are interested in volunteering or supporting the amazing athletes of the Special Olympics please contact Dr. Arash for further information.
