Feed Da Homies “Homeless” serves to bring young professionals amongst others interested in helping give much needed assistance to the growing homeless crisis in the United States. Dr. Arash provides his home, supplies, and logistics to this amazing group of volunteers and is proud to work with such caring and selfless professionals. This group is entirely self funded and participates with several sister organizations with similar goals.
Our mission started in November 2016 as a Friendsgiving event to feed the homeless for a few friends who couldn’t be home to celebrate with our loved ones. As we faced many registration challenges (I.e., background checks, screenings, interviews)with local shelters that left us feeling to say the least, discouraged, we decided to cut out the middle man and carry it out ourselves. Our simple intention was to bring people together to feed those who can’t feed themselves and share human kindness.
We serve the homeless population in Venice, Santa Monica, Downtown Los Angeles and the valley. We are growing yearly and have plans to expand to other cities and possibly states.
